OK, so I have gone 27 years without a ticket and trust me I'm always running late, therefore always speeding. Luck I guess, well that was until I braved going to Walmart and on the way back I was multi-tasking like most moms, chicken nuggets in one hand and trying to get to T.V to work with the other. Not even paying attention to how fast I was going I zoom right passed A cop. He said I was going 70 in a 55 which is good because I know at one point I was surely going faster than that. Anyway $75.00 later and you think I would have learned my lesson. Apparently not, Wed. night is adult dance class night and thank god I wasn't wearing fishnets and heals. We drove Matts farm truck that I can barely reach the peddle in and the steering wheel is a lot touchier than my Tahoe, So I'm not very good at driving it. After dance class we decided to grab a bite to eat and in the middle of Blue Lakes the tail gate opens and something falls out. So, I had to brave traffic and retrieve this greasy old handyman jack, funny right, yeah we thought so too. After that we were outside Kimberly when Matt called to see where we were at, in trying to find my phone I swerved a little. Not knowing that the car following us was a cop I said to Brandy I'm going to get pulled over before we make it home. About that time his light flipped on and I think he expected to find some drunk behind the wheel. Instead he found us laughing so hard when he came to the window asking if I had had anything to drink. Me, i'm trying to save myself another ticket and Brandy is begging him to give me a sobriety test just so she can capture it on camera. After convincing the cop that I had not been drinking and that it was my husband fault for making me drive his farm truck, he went back to run my licence. Luckily a guy I went to school with was on dispatch and told him not to give me a ticket. Thank God!!!!! Because 2 tickets in one week would not have been a good thing.
